Known as one of Italy’s premier nudist beaches, Capocotta is part of the Litorale Romano State Nature Reserve, a protected natural area that boasts pristine sand dunes and lush vegetation, providing ample space for sunbathing, swimming and socializing. The natural landscape attracts a diverse crowd, including locals, tourists, men, women, trans, straight, gay, lesbian, young, old, nudists and non-nudists.
Getting There
The gay area is located in Via Litoranea km8, 400. Capocotta Beach is conveniently located about 30 kilometers southwest of Rome, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists. The most straightforward way to reach the beach is by car, with ample parking available nearby. Alternatively, public transportation options include trains from Rome to nearby stations such as Lido di Ostia or Cristoforo Colombo, next take the bus 7 and follow the gays to the beach. But the best way to get there is to pick up a Roman and let him take you to the beach! It’s so much easier!
Facilities, bar and restaurant
Adding to Capocotta’s appeal are its beach bars and restaurants. These establishments offer a variety of refreshments, from cool drinks and cocktails to ice creams, light snacks and traditional Italian fare. All kiosks have bathrooms and showers, rent sun umbrellas and sun loungers. The bars often play music, contributing to the beach’s laid-back and festive ambiance. Cruising Area
Capocotta is particularly famous for its gay cruising area. Many beachgoers, even heterosexuals with wives or girlfriends, are swingers and exhibitionists. In an area of the beach frequented by heterosexuals, away from the bars, I saw many people playing, masturbating, having sex and even a gang bang! In my opinion the sand dunes are the best option to complete the day at the beach with a bit of gay outdoor cruising.
